Kris Matthew Ward was born in Athens, Georgia, and raised in Oconee County by incredible parents who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. His family is central to his character, and he loves them dearly. Despite facing countless obstacles and being counted out, Kris has persevered with determination, turning challenges into opportunities. He is deeply committed to his community and genuinely wants the best for everyone. With his loyal husky, Mahalo, by his side, Kris continues to inspire those around him through his resilience, kindness, and unwavering dedication to excellence. Kris Ward is a close follower of Athens, GA politics and national and Georgia politics at-large.  He is also a lover of college football, hiking, and is a small business owner.

    Meet Mahalo, my playful and spoiled husky with a flair for the finer things in life. He loves exploring the outdoors on long walks and hikes, where he enjoys sniffing the ground and taking in all the scents. Mahalo has a taste for gourmet food, just like his dad, and when he's not indulging in his favorite snacks, he's chewing on things until they disappear or enjoying a well-deserved naps.  A social dog at heart, he is always ready to make new friends and share his love with everyone he meets.
